  • 13 ounces canned refrigerator pizza dough
  • 67 mozzarella cheese sticks
  • 1 large egg (+ 1 tablespoon water for egg wash)
  • 3 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh rosemary (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh basil (finely chopped)
  • 1 clove garlic (grated)
  • 1 jar marinara and/or pesto (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the pizza dough into approximately 30 equal squares; cut each mozzarella cheese stick into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Place one piece of mozzarella in each dough square and roll them into balls.
  4. Arrange the balls on the baking sheet in the shape of a Christmas tree, seam side down.
  5. Brush the formed tree with an egg wash (mix 1 egg with 1 tablespoon water).
  6. Bake for 16-18 minutes until golden brown.
  7. While baking, melt butter and mix in garlic and half of the parmesan cheese; brush over baked bread and sprinkle remaining parmesan on top.
  8. Serve warm with marinara or pesto.
