  • 20 oz. Simply Potatoes (shredded or diced)
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • Dash of black pepper
  • Dash of nutmeg
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3 tbsp butter (divided)
  • Paprika (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter an 8 x 8-inch casserole dish and evenly spread the Simply Potatoes inside.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, whisk together milk, heavy cream, salt, dry mustard, black pepper, and nutmeg until nearly boiling.
  3. Lower the heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  4. Pour the cheese sauce over the potatoes and let cool slightly before topping with slices of butter and a sprinkle of paprika.
  5. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 12 hours or overnight.
  6. Bake uncovered for about 45 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
