  • 20 wonton wrappers
  • 3/4 cup imitation crab meat (or drained canned crab)
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons green onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon white granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the imitation crab meat, softened cream cheese, chopped green onion, soy sauce, garlic powder, sugar, and black pepper using a fork until well mixed.
  2. Lay out a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Place about 2 teaspoons of filling in the center and dab water along the edges.
  3. Fold the wrapper over to form a triangle and press the edges firmly to seal.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or deep frying pan to 325°F. Fry wontons in batches for about 1.5 to 2 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve warm with dipping sauces.
