  • 2¼ teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1½ teaspoons salt
  • 1½ cups warm water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 34 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Flaky sea salt (for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until foamy. Mix in flour and salt to form a sticky dough. Knead by hand or mixer until smooth.
  2. Coat the dough in olive oil, cover with plastic wrap or a towel, and let rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours until doubled in size.
  3. Grease a baking pan and prepare garlic oil by heating olive oil with minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Transfer risen dough to the pan, stretching it into corners. Let rest for 10 minutes before covering again to rise for another 30–45 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Dimple the dough, brush with garlic oil, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and flaky salt. Bake for about 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
